Thank You for a Successful 2017 Awareness Week

That’s a wrap! Thank you to all of our partners and supporters for helping to spread the word about our organization during our third Annual Awareness Week. The goal was to increase visibility not only to help fundraising efforts, but to find more students to support.

During the 2017 Awareness Week, we:

  • Downloaded 220 copies of the Facebook cover image
  • Downloaded 201 copies of the Media Kit
  • Had 68% of state organizations add the Kids' Chance Awareness Week button to their websites - a 16% increase from last year
  • Received over 1,400 views on our press release. We had a total pick up of 253, and a total potential audience of over 15,000,000

We couldn’t achieve these incredible numbers alone, and that’s the beauty of Awareness Week. By coming together to tap into our collective communities, we can educate more of the country about our work. We want to raise more money for more kids, but that can’t happen unless people know about our mission.

Awareness Week may be over, but there are still plenty of ways to get involved! Our Planning for the Future Program is active all year long. The objective of the program is to identify and steward potential scholarship applicants who are not yet of college age. To date, we’ve had 608 submissions for the program. The earlier we can identify students in need, the sooner we can be of assistance!

To learn more about our organization and how you can get involved, read through our website and follow us on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.

Stay tuned for the in-depth, post-Awareness week report to be released in January!
