Fun Facts About Kids’ Chance

Happy 2018 Awareness Week! As we celebrate our fourth annual event, we are excited to continue to build awareness for our mission and objective of bringing More Money to More Kids. As is has been the past three years, the goal of this week is to increase visibility through outreach events and social media campaigns in order to spread the word about Kids’ Chance scholarship opportunities.

There are currently 43 Kids’ Chance state organizations with several others in development. Collectively, Kids’ Chance organizations have awarded over 6,500 scholarships across the country, totaling over $20,000,000. In 2016-2017 alone, we awarded 597 individual scholarships nationally, with an average of $4,000 per student.

Over the past three years, scholarship applications have increased significantly, but we know there are more students in need of assistance. We want to raise more money for more kids and helping raise awareness this week can help! Read below to learn what you can do.

Throughout this week, we’ll be sharing information about Kids’ Chance via our blog and social media accounts, primarily on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. We invite you to join the conversation this week and in the future as we work together to educate the children of injured workers.

Here are some of the results from the 2017 Awareness Week:

  • 68% of State Organizations had the Awareness Week button on their website (up 16% from 2016)
  • Over 7,500 Twitter Impressions
  • 1,467 press release views
