EXPLORE SAN DIEGO!

Belmont Park
Belmont Park is a seaside open air amusement park located on Mission Beach (blocks from both conference hotels). Much like Coney Island in New Jersey, it has a boardwalk, midway games, a boardwalk to rent bikes, roller blades and pay as you go attractions. In addition, there is the historical wooden roller coaster (the Giant Dipper) and largest indoor saltwater swimming pool in world holding 400,000 gallons (the Plunge). Both are national landmarks. You can buy unlimited ride or attraction passes or pay as you go. It is even cool just to walk around and eat at one of their many restaurants.

Old Town Trolley/Seal Bus
Owned and operated by the same company. Both will take you on breath-taking tours of San Diego – even to the historical and iconic Hotel Del Coronado (where the famous movie Some Like it Hot was filmed).

The Seal Bus: This is an amphibious vehicle and it’s cool! The San Diego SEAL Tour journeys through San Diego by sea AND land. Has a fully narrated tour and departs from San Diego’s Seaport Village on Harbor Drive or Embarcadero and goes through the historic streets of San Diego before making its way into San Diego’s bay.

The Old Town Trolley: Awesome sightseeing tours highlighting the best of San Diego. They have on and off privileges so you can stop at any point and enjoy an area and then get back on. Be sure to look at all the stops as it is a cool way to get around the city to all the major attractions. Depending on your choice, you could not go wrong with either one and they are fun for all and families.

Petco Park / San Diego Padres
Chosen by USA Today as the #1 MLB Ballpark in America, it is in downtown San Diego and is home to the San Diego Padres. Many are interested in going to a game while in San Diego. As in most downtown areas in any city, parking is tight and costly. For a large party it is recommended that you take a shuttle bus for a larger group. We recommend San Diego Charter Inc. as they are family owned, great to work with and the most affordable rental bus companies in San Diego.
